Due to high water levels caused by prolonged rain and snow melt, a section of Sixteen Mile Creek Trail in Lions Valley Park is temporarily closed. The inner valley trail from the bottom of the staircase, heading north to the parking lot at Lion's Valley Park is the impacted area.
Residents are reminded to use caution around creeks, ponds and the lake where localized flooding and shoreline erosion have created dangerous conditions. While the creek levels are high, it is imperative that people abide by the closure for safety reasons.
