Heat Alert in effect

Environment Canada issued a Heat Alert for the Canada Day weekend. The Town of Oakville urges its residents to take the necessary precautions to limit outdoor activity and keep cool at one of our air-conditioned facilities or take a dip at one of our swimming pools.

  • Splash pads are open extended hours, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., from June 29 to July 2, 2018.
  • All of our air-conditioned facilities are operating on a regular schedule on Saturday, June 30. Come in and escape the heat!
  • River Oaks Community Centre and Oakville Senior's Centre lobby areas will be available as cooling centres from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2018.
  • For July 1 to 2 cooling centre and facility hours, review the schedule below.
