Thu, 25 Apr 2019

This spring, the town is launching climateXchange -- a series of free, family-friendly events and activities designed to raise awareness of climate change and help you become more resilient to our changing climate.

On Saturday, May 4, take part in the feature event, the climateXchange showcase at Glen Abbey Community Centre from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

  • Test-drive one of the several makes of electric vehicles available to you in Oakville.
  • Take a virtual reality tour of our oceans and corals reefs, fly with NASA over Greenland to witness the ever-changing landscape, or experience the impacts of extreme weather in Canada.
  • Visit one of the expert exhibitors to learn more about what the town is doing and what you can do at home, on the road or in the office to take action on climate change.
  • Lots of great information and free give-aways for people of all ages

Other climateXchange events include:

  • Saturday, April 27 - Earth Week Clean Up at various locations across Oakville
  • Friday, May 3 - Virtual Reality Tour at Film.ca Cinemas
