Oakville is committed to offering valued services and programs to residents and making strategic investments in community priorities. Each year the town’s annual budget is one of the most important tasks facing Town Council, and Council has directed staff to prepare a budget that keeps the overall tax increase in line with inflation.

Budget Committee meetings

All meetings are open to the public and held in Council Chamber at Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road.

Dates include:

  • Tuesday, November 19, 2019, 9:30 a.m. – release of 2020 Budget book, plus rates and fees
  • Thursday, November 21, 2019, 9:30 a.m. – staff presentations
  • Tuesday, December 3, 2019, 9:30 a.m. – public delegations
  • Tuesday, December 3, 2019, 7 p.m. – public delegations

Budget Open House

  • Wednesday, November 27, 2019, 7 p.m. – with Councillor and Budget Chair Tom Adams, Bronte Room, Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road

Approval of the 2020 Operating and Capital Budgets:

  • Tuesday, December 10, 2019, 9:30 a.m. – Budget Committee
  • Monday, December 16, 2019, 7 p.m. – Council approval
