Town facility closures on Labour Day, September 7, 2020

We hope that everyone can enjoy a fun, safe and relaxing long weekend.

All town facilities including Town Hall, community centres and libraries are closed to the public on Monday, September 7.

ServiceOakville

Online services will be available to submit service requests from the comfort of home.

To report urgent problems related to roads, traffic lights and signs, parks and trees or storms, call 905-845-6601 to be connected with our after-hours service.

Active Oakville

All community centres will be closed on September 7, so pre-registered swim and fitness sessions will not be available that day.  

Please note that all outdoor pools, with the exception of Lions Pool, close for the season on September 6. Lions Pool will close on September 13.

Parks

For the latest information on what's open and what's closed in our parks, including trails, sports fields, splash pads and playgrounds, visit our COVID-19 Information page.

Transit

Oakville Transit will provide holiday service on Monday, September 7.

Holiday service is the same as Sunday level of service, and is provided from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Fire safety

If your long weekend plans include a trip to the cottage, backyard fires or BBQs, the Oakville Fire department is urging you to take the proper precautions to stay safe.

Fireworks

According to Fireworks By-law 2009-056, Labour Day is not a firework-permitted holiday. Visit our fireworks page for more information.
