Provide your input

The Town of Oakville is currently undertaking a comprehensive review of the Business Licensing By-law 2015-075. The business licensing by-law provides for the licensing and regulation of various businesses that operate in Oakville including restaurants, nail salons, taxicabs, building renovators, landscapers and driving schools to name a few. The main goal of the licensing by-law is to focus on consumer protection, health and safety of the public, and nuisance control.

Included in the review is the opportunity to licence additional businesses including:

  • payday loan establishments
  • mobile services
  • private parking enforcement officers
  • vaping establishments

We are asking the public and industry stakeholders for their input on what those regulations should look like.

The information received from the open houses will be used to formulate a new licensing by-law that will be presented to Council later this year.
