You are invited to attend and provide input at this meeting hosted by Council for the Town of Oakville to consider a report to remove the Holding Symbol “H”.

The Planning Services department will be presenting a recommendation report with respect to the development proposal at this meeting.

The proposed application is to remove the Holding Provision from Zoning By-law 1983-64 as amended and to remove the Holding Provision form Zoning By-law 2014-014. The “H” Holding Provision was placed on these lands to ensure that the Region of Halton is satisfied that:

  • That the owner submits to the Region of Halton a Ministry of Environment acknowledged Record of Site Condition, certified by a Qualified Person as defined in Ontario Regulation 153/04, to the satisfaction of the Region.”

The removal of the “H” Holding Provision is a mechanism to ensure that the above conditions are fulfilled prior to the development of the lands in accordance with the approved Zoning, and as such there are no third party rights of appeal on the removal of the Holding provision.

The subject lands are located at the north-east corner of Kerr Street and Speers Road.
