The Town of Oakville has received a complete application by King's Christian Collegiate for a proposed zoning by-law amendment and plan of subdivision. You are invited to attend and provide input at these meetings hosted by the Planning Services department and Planning and Development Council, respectively.

The purpose of these applications is to rezone the lands from “ED” to NUC-3 (including site specific permissions) and NUC-25. This will regulate the existing school and permit the proposed residential uses on the south-west corner of the site.

The subject lands are located on the south-west corner of Neyagawa Boulevard and Burnhamthorpe Road.

These lands are also subject to the following applications:

  • If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Council of the Town of Oakville before the proposed zoning by-law amendment is passed and/or before the proposed plan of subdivision before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision:the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville Council and/or the Director of Planning Services to the Ontario Municipal Board; and
  • the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

Any submission to the Planning and Development Council, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be forwarded to the Clerk's department for receipt no later than noon on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 to ensure its availability to the Members of Council at the meeting. Individuals making oral submissions at the public meeting are requested to submit a written outline of the submission to the Town Clerk. All submissions should include the full name and address of the presenter.

The public may view planning documents and background material at the Planning Services department between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or on the development application page.
