As the province plans for recovery, the town is beginning to carefully and responsibly bring back services and reopen some public spaces, programs and services. Provincial emergency orders and the town’s physical distancing by-law remain in effect. We must all continue to follow guidelines from Public Health officials.

Remove a Holding Provision “H”

You are invited to attend and provide input at this meeting hosted by Planning and Development Council to consider a report to remove the Holding Symbol “H”.
The Planning Services department will be presenting a recommendation report with respect to the development proposal at this meeting.
The proposed application is to remove “H” Holding Provision from Zoning by-law 2011-160. The “H” Holding Provision was places on these lands to ensure that the Town is satisfied that:
The Town of Oakville Director of Planning Services, or his or her designate, is satisfied that the development of the lands identified as “B” in Figure 1 to Zoning By-law 2011-106 will not compromise Halton Regional Police Services telecommunications signal.
The removal of the “H” Holding Provision is a mechanism to ensure that the above conditions are fulfilled prior to the development of the lands in accordance with the approved Zoning, and as such there are no third party rights of appeal on the removal of the Holding provision.
The subject parcel of land is located on the southeast corner of Bronte Road and North Service Road.
