Notice of Public Meeting on June 13, 2016 for a Zoning By-Law Amendment at 1215 & 1221 Lakeshore Road West

You are invited to attend and provide input at this meeting hosted by Planning and Development Council.

The Planning Services department will be presenting a recommendation report with respect to the development proposal at this meeting.

A proposal to consider a site specific Zoning By-law Amendment to rezone the subject site from ‘R01 and R02’ in By-law 1984-63 and RL1-0 and RL2-0 in By-law 2014-014 to site specific zoning categories reflecting a Draft Plan of Subdivision with 24 detached units on a municipal road.

The subject parcel of land is located on the north side of Lakeshore Road West between Willowridge Court and Sandwell Drive.

The following application under the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended pertains to the subject land and will be considered in conjunction with this zoning by-law amendment: the Plan of Subdivision Application 24T-14006/1722.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to Council c/o the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3 or at TownClerk@oakville.ca before the proposed zoning by-law amendment is passed or before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision:

  •  the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville Council to the Ontario Municipal Board; and
  •  the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

Any submission to the Planning and Development Council, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be forwarded to the Clerk's department for receipt no later than noon on June 13, 2016, to ensure its availability to the Members of Council at the meeting. Individuals making oral submissions at the public meeting are requested to submit a written outline of the submission to the Town Clerk.  All submissions should include the full name and address of the presenter.

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the director of Planning Services in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision you must make a written request to the director of Planning Services at the Town of Oakville, Planning Services Department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3.

The public may view planning documents and background material related to the zoning by-law amendment and related application for draft plan of subdivision at the Planning Services department between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or on the development application page.
