You are invited to attend and provide input at this meeting hosted by Planning and Development Council.

The Planning Services department will be presenting a recommendation report with respect to a town-initiated, town-wide zoning by-law amendment.

The purpose of this zoning by-law amendment is to make technical corrections to align zone boundaries with property lines to clarify a site specific zoning regulation and to add or adjust town-wide provisions related to the application of zoning provisions to lots divided through condominium.

The subject lands for the site specific amendments are located on the north-east corner of Burloak Drive and Rebecca Street; on the east side of Wallace Street south of Speers Road and on the north-east corner of Lakeshore Road and Garden Drive.

The 105 Garden Drive site is also subject to Site Plan Application File Number SP.1617.052/01 and Removal of a Holding Provision File Number Z.1617.40.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to Council c/o the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3 or at TownClerk@oakville.ca  before the by-law is passed:

  •  the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville Council to the Ontario Municipal Board; and
  •  the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

Any submission to the Planning and Development Council, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be forwarded to the Clerk's department for receipt no later than noon on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, to ensure its availability to the Members of Council at the meeting. Individuals making oral submissions at the public meeting are requested to submit a written outline of the submission to the Town Clerk.  All submissions should include the full name and address of the presenter. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Town of Oakville on the proposed zoning by-law amendment, you must make a written request to the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3 or at TownClerk@oakville.ca
