As the province plans for recovery, the town is beginning to slowly bring back services and reopen some public spaces. Provincial emergency orders and the town’s physical distancing by-law remain in effect. We must all continue to follow guidelines from Public Health officials.

320 Bronte Road Inc. seeks the approval for a 30-unit residential development. The proposed development consists of 28 new multiple-attached residential dwellings and one new single detached dwelling. The applicant also proposes to convert the existing day care facility building to a single detached dwelling. Portions of the property related to the Bronte Creek valley are proposed to be dedicated to the Town of Oakville for incorporation into the Town of Oakville’s natural heritage system.

In addition, a draft plan of subdivision creating the various blocks and draft plan of Common Element Condominium, principally related to the proposed roadway, parking and associated landscaping, have been submitted.
The subject parcel of land is located on the west side of Bronte Road, north of Rebecca Street.
At this time there are no other applications, under the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended, pertaining to the subject lands.
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Council c/o the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3 or at TownClerk@oakville.ca before the official plan amendment is adopted, the by-law is passed or before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision and draft plan of condominium, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to Council c/o the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted, before the by-law is passed or in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision and condominium before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision and condominium, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

Any submission to the Planning and Development Council, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be forwarded to the Clerk's department for receipt no later than noon on May 13, 2019 to ensure its availability to the Members of Council at the meeting. Individuals making oral submissions at the public meeting are requested to submit a written outline of the submission to the Town Clerk. All submissions should include the full name and address of the presenter.
