Due to the COVID-19 emergency, attendance at Town Hall is restricted and public meetings are being held by videoconference only. The intent of the application is to remove the "H17" Holding Provision from the 2009-189 Zoning By-law.
Removal of the "H17" Holding Provision would permit the development of 32 lane-based townhouses on a public lane.
The subject land is located north of Settlers Road East, east of Vernon Powell Drive and West of Eternity Way.
The “H” symbol shall, upon application by the landowner, be removed by Town Council passing a By-law under Section 36 of the Planning Act. The following condition(s) shall first be completed to the satisfaction of the Town of Oakville:
The removal of the “H” Holding Provision is a mechanism to ensure that the above condition is fulfilled prior to the development of the lands in accordance with the approved Zoning, and as such, there are no third party rights of appeal on the removal of the Holding provision.

Any submission to the Planning and Development Council, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be forwarded to the Clerk’s department for receipt no later than noon on Monday, January 17, 2022, to ensure its availability to the Members of Council at the meeting. Individuals wishing to make an oral submission at the meeting must contact the Clerk’s Department prior to the meeting to register as a delegation and to obtain instructions on how to participate in the meeting. Requests must be made no later than noon Monday, January 17, 2022 by email to: TownClerk@Oakville.ca or call 905-815-6015. Requests to delegate will not be processed during the meeting.
