You are invited to attend and provide input at these meetings hosted by the Planning Services department and Planning and Development Council, respectively.
The purpose of the proposed official plan amendment is to modify the text and schedules of the Livable Oakville Plan to implement the recommendations from the town’s Employment and Commercial Review.
The effect of the proposed amendment will be to:
The proposed amendment will result in changes to the following parts of the Livable Oakville Plan: Section 12 (Mixed Use), Section 13 (Commercial), Section 14 (Employment), Section 27 (Exceptions), Section 29 (Interpretation); Schedule F – South West Land Use; Schedule G – South East Land Use; Schedule H – West Land Use; Schedule I – Central Land Use; and, Schedule J – East Land Use.
The amendment applies to the entire Livable Oakville Plan area, being all lands south of Dundas Street and north of Highway 407.
This proposed amendment is also subject to the Town Initiated Urban Structure Review (File No. 42.15.52) and the Cultural Heritage Policy Updates (File No. 42.24.016).

Any submission to the Planning and Development Council, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be forwarded to the Clerk's department for receipt no later than noon on November 6, 2017, to ensure its availability to the Members of Council at the meeting. Individuals making oral submissions at the public meeting are requested to submit a written outline of the submission to the Town Clerk. All submissions should include the full name and address of the presenter.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Town of Oakville on the proposed official plan amendment, you must make a written request to the Town Clerk.
The public may view planning documents and background material at the Planning Services department between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or on the Town’s website on or after October 17, 2017 at the Employment and Commercial Review page.
