The Fences and Privacy Screen By-law regulates fences, hedges and privacy screens including but not limited to:
- How height is calculated
- Height and location to minimize impact on visibility triangles on driveways and corner lots
- Maximum height in residential zones
- Maximum height outside of residential zones
- Restrictions on fence materials and construction
Non-compliance with the by-law may result in fees and charges under the Administrative Penalty By-law.
