Colouring Contest

How to enter

Entrants coloured the illustration designed by artist Yasaman Mehrsa and submitted it by Monday, November 3 at 4 p.m.

Eligibility

Open to children aged five to 10.

Children younger than five are welcome to submit their colouring pages, but will not be eligible for a prize, as they are too young to participate in the parade.

The contest is not open to children or relatives of Town of Oakville employees or members of the Oakville Santa Claus Parade Committee.

Age categories

Entries will be grouped into the following age categories:

• Ages 5-6
• Ages 7-9
• Age 10 (eligible to ride with Mrs. Claus)

Judging criteria

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

• Creativity
• Use of colour
• Overall presentation

Prizes

Top entries in each age category will receive a fun prize pack. First place in the age 10 category will win a ride with Mrs. Claus in the parade.

Submission guidelines

• One entry per child
• Use any colouring materials (crayons, markers, pencils)
• Scan or take a photo of the completed art and send it as a jpg, png or pdf file.
• Include the child’s name and age, along with the email and phone number of the adult submitting on their behalf.

Display and recognition

Selected entries will be recognized on oakville.ca and on parade day.

Contest period

Entries will be accepted until Monday, November 3 at 4 p.m.

Consent and privacy notice

By submitting a colouring contest entry, parents or guardians consent to the child’s artwork being featured on the Town of Oakville’s website, marketing or social media channels.

Personal information collected (such as the child’s name and age) will be used solely for contest administration and recognition purposes, in accordance with the Town of Oakville’s privacy policy.
