February is Winter Commute Month
Cold temperatures, snow, ice, and shorter days can make commuting more challenging. Small changes, like adjusting your schedule, choosing alternative routes, or using shared and sustainable options can make a big difference.
Be part of the Winter Commute Campaign and join other commuters in traveling sustainably when you can. Winter weather changes the way we travel but a “smart commute” keeps your moving. Plan ahead, travel safer, and make winter work for you with sustainable commuting choices. Consider walking, rolling, taking transit, carpooling or cycling.
Visit Smart Commute for an overview of the ways we provide the town with programs and initiatives, to help them plan for a smart commute and how to get involved in Winter Commute Month.
