What do you bring?
- Certified and safety-conscious: Hold (or is working toward) recognized certifications in Refrigeration and Pool Operations, with knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Technically skilled: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with facility equipment, ice maintenance, and public pool operations.
- Versatile and experienced: Familiar with all aspects of facility operations including community centres, fire stations, libraries and corporate facilities.
- Customer-focused and solution-oriented: Bring excellent customer service and problem-solving skills to every interaction.
- Committed to growth: Are interested in pursuing further training and professional development.
What is required?
- Certified and safety-conscious: Holds (or is working toward) recognized certifications in Refrigeration (Basic Refrigeration ORFA) and Pool Operations (Certified Pool Operator).
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License required, with a clean driving record (fewer than six demerit points); a recent driver’s abstract and Town road test are conditions of employment.
- Personal vehicle required for occasional travel to various sites as part of job duties and corporate business.
- Satisfactory criminal record check (dated within the last 30 days) is mandatory for new hires or those new to the position.
These positions will have a maximum duration of eight months. Hours of work may vary depending on operational needs. Join our team and work after school as a Facility Maintenance Attendant. You will be a vital part of the team that keeps everything running smoothly — from setting up events to maintaining the ice and outdoor spaces as well as assisting facility operators with general maintenance tasks and special projects.
