The Town of Oakville has received a complete application by Branthaven West Oak Inc. for a Zoning By-law Amendment. The subject property is located on the vacant, northwest corner of the Westoak Trails Boulevard and Postmaster Drive intersection, municipally known as 2170 Postmaster Drive.

The lands are currently zoned CU (Community Use) and are proposed to be re-zoned to RM1 and RM2 (Residential Medium 1 and 2) in keeping with the Livable Oakville Medium Density Residential land use designation.

The proposed rezoning would permit for a 59 unit development, consisting of 26 two-storey townhouse units, 14 three-storey back-to-back townhouse units, and 19 three-storey rear lane townhouse units all on a common element condominium road.

At this time there are no other applications, under the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended, pertaining to the subject lands.

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Council c/o the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3 or at TownClerk@oakville.ca before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to Council c/o the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
