Notice of Statutory Public Meeting on October 26, 2020 for a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment and proposed Plan of Subdivision for 1429 Dundas Street East for Mattamy (Joshua Creek) Limited

Monday, October 26, 2020, at 6:30 p.m.

You are invited to attend and provide input at this videoconferencing meeting hosted by Planning and Development Council.

Due to the COVID-19 emergency, attendance at Town Hall is restricted and public meetings are being held by videoconference only. Instructions on how to view the meeting or participate by written submission, videoconference or telephone are provided below.

A Draft Plan of Subdivision application has been submitted to permit the development of 154 residential units consisting of 118 detached dwellings, 36 townhouse units and natural heritage system. A Zoning By-law amendment has also been submitted to rezone the lands from Existing Development (ED) to General Urban and Natural Heritage System to implement the plan of subdivision.

The subject land is generally located north of Dundas Street and west of Ninth Line.

This land is adjacent to a property that is also subject to Site Plan Application SP. 1307.002/02, proposed Plan of Subdivision File No. 24T-20007/1307 and a Zoning By-law Amendment File No. Z.1307.07

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Council c/o the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3 (Dropbox is located in front of Town Hall) or at TownClerk@oakville.ca before the by-law is passed or before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to Council c/o the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, before the by-law is passed or in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Town of Oakville on the proposed zoning by-law amendment or in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision, you must make a written request to the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3 or at TownClerk@oakville.ca

Any submission to the Planning and Development Council, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be forwarded to the Clerk's department for receipt no later than noon on Friday, October 26, 2020, to ensure its availability to the Members of Council at the meeting. Individuals making oral submissions at the public meeting are requested requested to contact the Clerk’s Department as early as possible prior to the meeting at TownClerk@oakville.ca or 905-815-6015 to obtain instructions on how to participate.
