Licensing By-law Review Open Houses February 18, 19 and 20, 2020

The Town of Oakville is currently undertaking a comprehensive review of the Business Licensing By-law 2015-075. The business licensing by-law provides for the licensing and regulation of various businesses that operate in Oakville including restaurants, nail salons, taxicabs, building renovators, landscapers and driving schools to name a few. The main goal of the licensing by-law is to focus on consumer protection, health and safety of the public, and nuisance control.

Included in the review is the opportunity to licence additional businesses including:

We are asking the public and industry stakeholders for their input on what those regulations should look like.

The information received from the open houses will be used to formulate a new licensing by-law that will be presented to Council later this year.
