Notice of Passing

Council passed zoning by-law 2021-066 under section 34, of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended on Monday, September 13, 2021.

The purpose and effect of zoning by-law 2021-066 is to create 28 townhouse dwellings including one live-work unit, a partial Elementary School Block and partial Neighbourhood Park Block.

The subject land is located on the east side of Sixth Line and south of Burnhamthorpe Road East.

At this time there are no other applications, under the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended, pertaining to the subject lands.

Council’s decision fully considered all the written and oral submissions relating to this matter and that those comments have been appropriately addressed.

Any appeals to the proposed zoning by-law amendment must be filed with the Town Clerk at 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON, L6H 0H3; must set out the reasons for the appeal; and must be accompanied by the fee required by the Ontario Land Tribunal. A copy of the appeal form is available from the Ontario Land Tribunal website.

Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a by-law to the Ontario Land Tribunal. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group.  However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf.

No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the Town of Oakville Council c/o the Town Clerk (at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3 or at TownClerk@oakville.ca) or, in the opinion of the Ontario Land Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
