As part of the town’s Official Plan Review, we are updating the policies that support the creation of a vibrant, transit-supportive urban community in Midtown Oakville. A draft Official Plan Amendment (OPA) for Midtown Oakville was presented at Town Council earlier this year and Midtown is being planned as a dynamic urban destination where people embrace healthy, active lifestyles by living, working and playing in a vibrant, walkable, mixed-use neighbourhood, connected to the rest of Oakville by pedestrian, cycling, transit and street networks.
