A Zoning By-law Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision application has been submitted to facilitate the development of approximately 23 hectares of land, located at the northwest corner of Burnhamthorpe Road West and Sixth Line..
The Zoning By-law Amendment proposes to rezone the site from Future Development (FD) to site specific Light Employment (LE), Institutional (I), Stormwater Management Facility (SMF) and Natural Heritage System (NHS) zones. The Draft Plan of Subdivision proposes to create an employment block, a block for a secondary school and related uses, three Natural Heritage System blocks and a stormwater management facility block.
This land was also subject to two Official Plan Amendments (Bylaws 2022-065 and 2022-066 - File Number OPA.1216.01), which were approved at the September 6, 2023 Planning and Development Council meeting.
