Potential mail disruption due to Canada Post strike
Canada Post mail service to and from the Town of Oakville may be interrupted due to the postal strike. For time-sensitive town-related documents, there is mail slot outside of Town Hall and, for pre-arranged pick ups and drop offs, there is a table at ServiceOakville inside Town Hall.

Widespread flooding is not anticipated, however, fast flowing water and flooding of low-lying areas, natural floodplains, and areas with poor drainage may be expected.

Marked annually in Canada on April 28, the National Day of Mourning is dedicated to remembering those who have lost their lives, suffered injury or illness on the job, or experienced a work-related tragedy. It’s also a day to collectively renew our commitment to improving health and safety in the workplace and to preventing further injuries, illnesses and deaths.
Flags at Town Hall and all municipal facilities in Oakville will be flown at half-mast, from sunrise until sunset on Sunday, April 28, 2024, to commemorate those who lost their lives, were injured on the job or experienced work-related tragedy.
