Update on parking lot construction and temporary entrance way closures at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex

As construction continues on the expansion of Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, existing parking areas will be impacted at times. 

There will be limited parking off of Sixteen Mile Drive near the lower level athlete entrance as well as the upper level off of the Gardenbrook Avenue main entrance. Please follow wayfinding signs for parking and safe access to the facility and sports fields that are open for public use.

Parking lot construction schedule

May 22, 2024 to July 2, 2024

• Reduced parking at Athlete Entrance
• Closure of Sixteen Mile Drive entrance. Use the Gardenbrook Avenue entrance for access to Sixteen Mile Sports Complex and sports fields. 

July 2, 2024 to fall 2024

• Partial closure of lower level athlete entrance parking lot
• Partial closure of upper level parking lot
• Sixteen Mile Drive entrance remains closed. Use the main entrance at Gardenbrook Avenue for access to Sixteen Mile Sports Complex and sports fields.

The Town of Oakville and construction contractors are working hard to minimize the parking disruption as much as possible. User groups, visitors and staff are asked for their patience and understanding as the town works to expand Sixteen Mile Sports Complex.
