Have your say and take the questionnaire before August 29

Residents are invited to help shape the development of Town programs and resources related to home energy upgrades to make them easier to understand and more accessible to the public. A questionnaire is now open until Friday, August 29, 2025 to help guide the development of resources, educational materials, and support options to meet the needs of the community.

Home energy upgrades can help improve the energy efficiency of homes, while also reducing the production of greenhouse gases (GHG). Homes in Oakville are responsible for 33 per cent of the community’s total energy use and 27 per cent of its GHG emissions.

The Town’s goal is to provide valuable education and support to residents looking to make energy-saving and cost-saving upgrades while also addressing concerns and questions that may make them hesitant to start these types of home projects.

Residents can take the questionnaire in less than five minutes and learn more about home energy upgrades by visiting the Home Energy Retrofits 101 page. Feedback from the questionnaire will directly shape future programs and resources that can help homeowners save energy, reduce costs, and protect our environment.
