Oakville ranked among top 20 regions to invest for seventh year in a row

Tuesday, September 02, 2025

The Town of Oakville has been named one of the best locations to invest in Canada by Site Selection Magazine for the seventh consecutive year. The international business publication covering corporate real estate and economic development released its “Canada’s Best Locations” list, ranking the Town among the top 20 regions to invest.

Oakville remains a top site selection choice, fuelled by strong investments, new businesses, facility expansions, and job creation.

In March 2025, Siemens announced a $150 million investment over five years to establish the Global A.I. Manufacturing Technologies Research and Development Centre for Battery Production in Oakville, creating up to 90 new jobs while helping secure Ontario’s leadership in battery manufacturing. Between June 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025, Oakville welcomed Element Materials Technology, Atlas Workwear, Orange EV Canada, Vast-Auto Distribution, Vital Bio, and YESA Inc. to the town.

“Oakville’s recognition for the seventh consecutive year as one of the best places to invest in Canada reflects the hard work of Council, Town staff, and our local business community. Our livability continues to attract and retain the talent that drives innovation, supports economic growth, and creates local jobs. Building on the success of our previous economic development plan, Council’s newly approved plan will help us keep this momentum strong and ensure Oakville remains a leading destination for investment.”
