Passing of a Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment
1287 and 1297 Dundas Street East
ARGO (Joshua Creek) Developments Ltd. and The Corporation of the Town of Oakville

Council passed Zoning By-laws 2025-093 and 2025-094 under section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended on July 8, 2025.
The purpose and effect of these applications is to implement the North Oakville East Secondary Plan by:
- Rezoning town-owned lands from FD (Future Development) to NHS (Natural Heritage System);
 - Rezoning a portion of privately-owned lands from FD to H50-DUC sp:99 (Dundas Urban Core); and
 - Amending the Holding Provision “H50” for a further modification.
 
The subject lands are located at the northwest and northeast corners of Dundas Street East and Meadowridge Drive.
Council’s decision reflects that they have considered all the written and oral submissions relating to this matter and that those comments have been appropriately addressed.
This land is also subject to a draft plan of subdivision file number 24T-20002/1308.
Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a by-law to the Ontario Land Tribunal. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf.
Any appeals to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment must be filed with the Town Clerk at 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON, L6H 0H3; must set out the reasons for the appeal; and must be accompanied by the fee required by the Ontario Land Tribunal. A copy of the appeal form is available from the Ontario Land Tribunal website.
No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the Town of Oakville Council c/o the Town Clerk (at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3 or at TownClerk@oakville.ca) or, in the opinion of the Ontario Land Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
