The Town of Oakville’s Santa Claus Parade, presented by 407 ETR, is almost here! Join Santa and friends on Saturday, November 14 starting at 9 a.m. in downtown Oakville. Get ready for a morning of holiday cheer featuring festive floats, spirited marching bands, and a visit from Santa himself!
This year's parade theme, North Pole Sweets and Treats, will bring a dash of holiday magic and festive fun to the community. Residents and visitors are encouraged to wear their favourite holiday attire and enjoy this family tradition as Santa and friends make their way through downtown Oakville to Kerr Village.
Getting to the parade
Avoid parking hassles and take Oakville Transit’s Santa Shuttle from Oakville GO Station to Trafalgar Park Community Centre, located at the end of the parade route.
Shuttles will run every five to 10 minutes from 8 to 11:30 a.m., travelling directly along Dorval Drive to Trafalgar Park Community Centre with no stops in between. To see the full parade, be sure to catch a shuttle departing Oakville GO Station by 9:15 a.m. Later departures may miss portions of the parade. Return service to the Oakville Go Station will be available until 11:30 a.m.
The Santa Shuttle pick-up and drop-off location will be along the station driveway near the Cross Avenue entrance at Oakville GO Station. Visitors are encouraged to park in the station's Main Lot, accessed from the VIA Rail entrance on Cross Avenue, to avoid crossing traffic.
Road closures and parking
To support a safe and enjoyable event, parking restrictions and residential street access changes will be in effect in the days leading up to and on parade day. Temporary road closures will also be in place on November 14 including parking lot closures at Trafalgar Park Community Centre. Visit the Attend the Parade page for a complete list of affected roads, parking restrictions and event-day information.
