Closed for Burloak Drive Grade Separation work
Starting May 22, 2026, a portion of Burloak Drive between Harvester/Wyecroft Roads and Prince William Drive/ Superior Court will be closed, reopening on June 1, 2026.
- The road closure will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, May 22 through to 6 a.m. on Monday, June 1.
- A signed detour route in the area will be in place during the closure. Oakville Transit Route 14/14A Lakeshore West will also detoured as this this segment of Burloak Drive will not be accessible by public transit (including care-A-van).
To support the increase in GO Service, Metrolinx is working with the City of Burlington and the Town of Oakville to build the grade separation (separation of the road from the rail corridor) at Burloak Drive.
As part of the project, the 10-day road closure is required to bring the new rail tracks into service on the new bridge, relocate and pave the at-grade railway crossing on the Burloak detour road, and install storm sewers south of the Burloak and Harvester Drive/Wyecroft Drive.
