Snow clearing update - January 5, 2026

Oakville is expecting snow on January 5, 2026.

• Primary and secondary road plowing and salting is ongoing.
• Primary and secondary sidewalk sanding is scheduled.
• BIA sidewalk clearing is complete.
• Speers Road bike lane maintenance is complete.
• Transit Terminal and Ride On-Demand Hub maintenance is complete. 
• Bus stop maintenance is scheduled.

While it snows, we continuously plow primary and secondary roads.

Residential roads are started only after the snow has stopped, and there is a minimum accumulation of 7.5 centimetres. It may take up to 24 hours after the snow has stopped to clear all residential roads following a significant snow event.
