Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts - Occupancy and Usage Policy

Policy statement

The Corporation of the Town of Oakville’s (town) Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts (OCPA) will ensure that a balance of community and curated professional programming is offered to create a service-oriented, community–based, financially sustainable operation while responding to the town’s commitment to supporting the performing arts.

The OCPA, in its planning and daily operations, shall abide by all relevant municipal, provincial and federal legislative requirements.

Purpose

The town is committed to supporting the performing arts through community rentals and the presentation of touring professional artists. Culture is one of the pillars of community sustainability and enhances community living.

Scope

This policy applies to all clients including individual artists, touring companies, rental clients (licensees) and members of the OCPA audience, in accordance with the required licence agreement to the satisfaction of the theatre management, and applicable OCPA procedures.
