Mayor Burton’s statement on racist vandalism at Oakville Community Church

The vandalism at Oakville Community Church that has been reported on social media today is racist and inflammatory.

The Town of Oakville, my Council colleagues and I strongly condemn this act of racism. It is not reflective of our community and values.

The Halton Regional Police Service attended and removed the language from the sign and continue to investigate this incident. I encourage anyone who may have information to report it to the Halton Police as soon as possible.
