Council Resolution requests the use of provincial tools to protect Glen Abbey lands

Oakville Council has requested a Minister’s Zoning Order (MZO) and three other provincial tools for the conservation of the Glen Abbey cultural heritage landscape.

Oakville MPP Stephen Crawford wrote a letter June 21, urging Council to “put forward a motion for Oakville Town Council to formally request, through a Council resolution, that Minister Clark issues a Ministerial Zoning Order to protect the Glen Abbey Golf Club.”

After consultation with Ministry and Regional staff, Oakville staff prepared a report for Town Council regarding the use of the four provincial powers.
