Statutory public meeting notice for a proposed zoning by-law amendment and plan of subdivision at Part of Lot 16, Concession 1, North of Dundas Street for Timsin Holding Corp.

Statutory Public Meeting

Monday, September 13, 2021, at 6:30 p.m.

You are invited to attend and provide input at this videoconferencing meeting hosted by Planning and Development Council.

Due to the COVID-19 emergency, attendance at Town Hall is restricted and public meetings are being held by videoconference only. Instructions on how to view the meeting or participate by written submission, videoconference or telephone are provided below.

A Zoning By-law Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision application has been submitted to facilitate the development of approximately 6.2 hectares of land, located on the west side of Sixth Line, on and north of North Park Boulevard.  The development proposes to create 57 residential units (22 detached dwellings, 14 semi-detached dwellings and 21 townhouses) and two natural heritage system blocks associated with the West Morrison Creek.  The applicant also proposes to rezone the site from Existing Development (ED) to several site specific zones related to the Neighbourhood Centre (NC), General Urban (GU), Sub-Urban (S) and Natural Heritage System (NHS) zones. 

Access to the site would be from future development lands to the north once developed, North Park Boulevard and Thistlewood Gate.

At this time there are no other applications, under the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended, pertaining to the subject lands.

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Council c/o the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3 (Dropbox is located in front of Town Hall) or at TownClerk@oakville.ca before the by-law is passed or before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to Council c/o the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, before the by-law is passed or in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

Any submission to the Planning and Development Council, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be forwarded to the Clerk's department for receipt no later than noon on Monday, September 13, 2021, to ensure its availability to the Members of Council at the meeting. Individuals wishing to make an oral submission at the public meeting are strongly encouraged to contact the Clerk’s Department by noon on Friday, September 10, 2021 by email to: TownClerk@Oakville.ca or call 905-815-6015 to register as a delegation and to obtain instructions on how to participate. Requests to participate electronically will also be received during the meeting to ensure that those watching the live stream will be given the opportunity to speak.  Instructions will be given on how to speak to an item during the live stream of the meeting.
