Church Street parking garage reopens after rehab

The parking garage at 300 Church Street in Downtown Oakville will reopen today after being closed since April 2024, to undergo essential repairs to keep the facility in good working condition and extend the life of the garage by an additional 15 years.

Starting today parking will be available on levels one, two, and the basement.  Painting will soon begin on the exterior of the building, as well as the third and fourth/roof levels. The third and fourth level/roof will reopen as quickly as possible. All levels are expected to be fully accessible to the public by mid-September.

Work included concrete repairs throughout the garage to reinforce the structural integrity; elevator upgrades; replacement of the fire alarm system and suppression system; the expansion of the network of security cameras; painting of parking levels, stairways and parking lines and updating the interior wayfinding signage. Other improvements were also undertaken to modernize the interior façade and management of the facility.

Parking at the Church Street garage will be available 24 hours a day. New hourly, daily and evening rates will be introduced. Payment will be provided through the HONK mobile app, with text to pay options.

Monthly permits are available for purchase. Previous permit holders will have the option to purchase a new permit. To find out more about parking options in Downtown Oakville please visit our Parking Permits page.
