As the festive season begins, Oakville Fire reminds residents to keep safety at the centre of their celebrations. From 12 days of fire safety and prevention tips to community outreach events, the Oakville Fire Department is here to help make your celebrations merry, bright, and safe this holiday season.

12 Days of Holiday Fire Safety

This year, the department is launching a special “12 Days of Holiday Fire Safety” campaign running from December 12 to 23, featuring daily fire safety and fire prevention tips to help everyone enjoy a safe and memorable holiday season. Be sure to follow Oakville Fire on social media (Facebook, X, and Instagram) to learn about themes like tree watering, lithium-ion batteries, electrical safety, and more!

As part of the “12 Days of Holiday Fire Safety”, Oakville Fire is proud to introduce a multilingual video series featuring personnel who speak a wide variety of languages reflective of our community. Each day, a new video will highlight a new holiday fire safety theme in English, as well as the top languages spoken in Oakville, including Spanish, Chinese, Urdu, Arabic, Swedish, Hindi, Punjabi, Farsi, Polish, Italian and other languages. These short videos will be available on the Town of Oakville’s YouTube channel
