Provide your input on the Downtown Oakville Heritage Conservation District Review

The Town of Oakville will be hosting a virtual meeting on Wednesday, August 27 at 7 p.m. for residents and businesses to give feedback on the Downtown Oakville Heritage Conservation District (HCD) Plan and Guidelines. 

The Town is reviewing the District operations and seeking feedback on minor revisions or updates. Input collected will help shape any changes made to the Downtown Oakville HCD Plan and Guidelines.

Background

• The District includes the area from just west of Navy Street to Dunn Street, and just north of Randall Street to the properties on the south side of Lakeshore Road East. 
• The character of the area is defined by the generous 19th and 20th century building stock, the commercial streetscape of Lakeshore Road East, and its proximity to the Sixteen Mile Creek and Oakville Harbour.
