Labour Day, September 1, 2025 - Town facility closures and transit schedule

Please note that the following facility closures and transit schedule adjustments will be in effect during the Labour Day holiday on Monday, September 1, 2025.

  • OPL branches will be closed on Sunday, August 31 and Monday, September 1

  • Lions outdoor pool will be open on Monday, September 1
• Arenas
• Cemetery offices
• Harbour offices

This year, the Oakville Museum (including the Old Post Office) will be open on Labour Day, September 1, from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Transit Service

Please note, consumer/family fireworks are not permitted on the Labour Day holiday in the Town of Oakville. Fireworks are also prohibited from being set off in any park, open space, sports field, or on roads at all times.
