Share feedback on concept designs at public meeting on May 21

The Town of Oakville is continuing its work on designing the new Riverstone Park. The public is invited to share their feedback on concept designs based on public engagement held in late March 2026.

The design of Riverstone Park will be shaped through a collaborative public consultation process to ensure the new green space is vibrant, accessible, sustainable, and reflective of the community’s needs.

Public consultation opportunity

Residents are invited to participate in an in-person meeting:

  • Date: Thursday, May 21, 2026
  • Time: 7 to 9 p.m.
  • Location: Oakville Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road – Oakville and Trafalgar Rooms

The meeting will include a staff presentation on the proposed concept designs, followed by an opportunity to share feedback.

Input from the community will help in developing a preferred concept design for the park. This is expected to be presented to the public for additional consultation in July 2026. Park construction is scheduled to begin in April 2027. Timelines are tentative and subject to change.

Background

  • Riverstone Park is located along Trafalgar Road between Riverstone Drive and Rosegate Way. The area is approximately 0.65 hectares (1.6 acres) and is being developed into new park space to meet the needs of current residents and future growth in uptown Oakville.
  • Phase 1 of public consultation included a public meeting on March 26 and an online questionnaire from March 27 to April 10 for the community to provide input on what types of features and amenities they might like to see at the new park.
  • The Town has retained landscape architectural consultant Baker Turner Inc. for the park design.
