The Town of Oakville is conducting a review of the residential parking permit program. This is an opportunity to assess how the program currently works and ensure it continues to meet the needs of residents across all neighbourhoods.
Oakville’s residential parking permitting program includes a range of permit types, such as for on-street parking, multiple vehicles, and contractor vehicles. This review will help the Town better understand parking demand, on-street parking use, and public awareness of the program.
Feedback from the public will be essential in ensuring any proposed updates or changes to the permitting system will be clear, consistent, fair, and easy to understand, while also ensuring it continues to align with the community’s needs.

Residents are asked to take the short, online survey from May 11 to 25, 2026.
Input from the community will help in developing any proposed changes to the residential parking permit system that will be presented in a report to Council in July 2026, tentatively.
