Residential Parking Permit Program Review

The Town is seeking public input to help shape proposed residential parking permit program updates.

Background

Town staff are conducting a review of the residential parking permit program to assess program effectiveness and ensure it continues to meet the needs of residents across all neighbourhoods.

The residential parking permit program has grown over time to include a range of permit types, zones, rules, and durations. The review will help the Town better understand parking demand, on‑street parking use, and public awareness of the program.

We will be examining how parking permits are being used across neighbourhoods, including who is using them, how often they are relied on, and the role they play in meeting parking needs.  Input from residents, visitors, and businesses will help inform future improvements to the residential parking permit program.

We want to hear from you!

Residents who use the parking permit program, whether occasionally or regularly, bring valuable firsthand experience. Your feedback will play an important role in evaluating the program.
