The unofficial results are in for the 2026 Municipal Election

Eligible voters have cast their ballots in the Town of Oakville’s 2026 Municipal Election and elected a new Town Council. The unofficial voter turnout is 60,638 ballots cast, which represents 34.26 per cent of Oakville's electoral population casting a ballot.

The results below will be certified by the Town Clerk in the coming days. 

The unofficial candidates for Town Council:

• Ward 1 – Town Councillor: Alexandra Caldwell
• Ward 1 – Town and Regional Councillor: Jonathan McNeice (acclaimed)
• Ward 2 – Town Councillor: Ray Chisholm
• Ward 2 – Town and Regional Councillor: Stacey Saunders
• Ward 3 – Town Councillor: Morgan Elliott
• Ward 3 – Town and Regional Councillor: Janet Haslett-Theall (acclaimed)
• Ward 4 – Town Councillor: Peter Longo
• Ward 4 – Town and Regional Councillor: Roger Lapworth
• Ward 5 – Town Councillor: Audrey Wubbenhorst
• Ward 5 – Town and Regional Councillor: Mackenzie Grant

• Wards 5 and 6 (combined): Helena Karabela

Conseil scolaire Viamonde (French Public School Board Trustee)

• Sonia Macaluso (acclaimed)

Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir (French Catholic School Board Trustee)

Once all the election results have been certified, the Town of Oakville will announce its official results and post them to elections.oakville.ca. 

The new council will be officially sworn in on Monday, November 16, 2026.
