Town announces Community Spirit Awards nominees

Awards ceremony takes place at QEPCCC on June 17 at 7 p.m.

The Town of Oakville is excited to announce the nominees for the 2026 Community Spirit Awards. This is the 24th year of the Community Spirit Awards. Nominees will be celebrated at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with sweets and treats, followed by the awards ceremony at 7 p.m., during which nominees will be recognized, and award recipients will be announced. 

This year’s awards will feature artwork by Megan Hazen, a talented acrylic painter who incorporates wood burning into her work to add depth and dimension to every piece. The artwork is currently on display at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre until the awards ceremony. 

Tickets will be available to the public on June 1 at 1 p.m., while quantities last. If you need assistance, please call the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts at 905-815-2021 (Monday to Friday, 1 to 4:30 p.m.).
