Notice of pesticide use to control aphids in 2026

The Town intends to control aphids in annual flower display beds, hanging baskets and planters along the following roadsides within the Town of Oakville: ·

• Bronte Road
• Church Street
• Dunn Street
• East Street
• George Street
• John Street
• Jones Street
• Kerr Street
• Lakeshore Road
• Marine Drive
• Navy Street
• Nelson Street
• Randall Street
• Reynolds Street
• Robinson Street
• Speers Road
• Thomas Street
• Trafalgar Road

Using the following pesticide registered under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada): Safer’s Insecticidal Soap (Reg. No. 14668), containing the active ingredient Soap (potassium salts of fatty acids). 

Applications will occur on an as-needed basis commencing on June 1, 2026, weather permitting, and ending October 2, 2026.
