Fireworks safety and by-law regulations

Celebrating at home? Please visit the Fireworks Safety page for information on how to use fireworks safely, responsibly, legally, and respectfully. Remember:

  • you must be aged 18 or older to use and have fireworks in your possession.
  • lighting fireworks is only permitted on the day of/day before/day after Victoria Day.
  • lighting fireworks is not permitted after 11 p.m.
  • lighting fireworks is not permitted in our parks, streets, or any public property.
  • do not aim fireworks at people, pets, or property.

Not a permitted day? Not safe? No adults? No fireworks.
