Proactive program cancellations on Sunday, January 25, 2026, in anticipation of severe weather

Due to the forecasted winter storm with increased snowfall expected in the afternoon, all drop in and registered programs beginning at or after 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2026, will be cancelled.

If your program is scheduled to start before 1 p.m., it is expected to run as planned until completion. 

Make-up classes or refunds

Impacted registrants will be notified by email, and a make up class will be scheduled where feasible. Otherwise, an account credit will be applied automatically for any cancelled classes with no action required.

Facility access and rentals

• Community centres and arenas will remain open for rentals and as warming centres during business hours. Rental clients may cancel without penalty.
• Fitness centres will remain open for individual access (no classes).
• The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts (OCPA) will remain open.
• Oakville Museum will be closed for the day.

We recognize that weather forecasts can shift. Our goal is to maintain predictable operations during an unpredictable weather event. All programs scheduled after 1 p.m. will remain cancelled regardless of how conditions evolve.
