Temporary closure of gymnasium and squash courts at Glen Abbey Community Centre, effective June 8, 2026

As part of our scheduled improvements, several roof areas at Glen Abbey Community Centre are being replaced to support the continued safety and longevity of the facility.

The gymnasium and squash courts will be closed from June 8 to 28, 2026 while work is completed in this area. The south end of the parking lot, accessed from Glen Abbey Gate, will also be temporarily closed for contractor staging. All other areas of the facility, including the fitness centre, will remain open.

For safety, please follow all posted signage and avoid fenced or marked construction zones.

Members who wish to pause their membership during this period are encouraged to speak with the front desk or call 905-815-2000.

Where possible, programs have been moved to other community centres. Please note that River Oaks Community Centre has squash courts available for drop-ins. Explore drop-in programs.

Construction is expected to be completed by July 2026.
