Winter weather service disruptions - January 25, 2026

Heavy snowfall is expected throughout the day in Oakville on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Many Town facilities and services are impacted by the winter weather conditions.

Service disruptions on Sunday, January 25

• Drop-in and registered programs will be cancelled if they start at or after 1 p.m. on January 25. Impacted registrants will be notified by email and either a make-up class will be scheduled where feasible, or a refund will be issued. If a program starts before 1 p.m., it will run to completion.
• All Recreation and Culture facilities will be closed as of 5 p.m.
• The Oakville Centre will be closed as of 5 p.m
• The Oakville Museum will be closed all day.
• All Oakville Public Library branches will be closed all day.
• Oakville Transit will be running but may experience delays. Please allow extra travel time.

Service disruptions on Monday, January 26

• All Recreation and Culture rentals, drop-in and registered programs for the morning of Monday, January 26 are cancelled. 
• PA Day camps will be cancelled for the full day on Monday, January 26.
• Recreation and Culture facilities will be closed for the morning and will re-open at noon on Monday, January 26. 
• All Oakville Public Library branches will be closed for the morning and will re-open at noon on Monday, January 26.
